If your little one loves Peppa Pig, you won’t want to miss the brand-new Peppa Pig Big Family Show London which makes a welcome addition to the Christmas festive Theatre Line up for Kids. This 2025 production introduces Evie, Peppa’s younger sister, in a heartwarming and interactive story.
Parents, you might be wondering if your Peppa Pig tolerance has officially peaked (PP plays on a near-constant loop in our home). But take a deep breath – this one is worth it. We took our 3-year-old, a toddler utterly obsessed with babies, to Peppa Pig Big Family Show 2025, and she was glued from start to finish.
This show is basically a toddler’s dream. And honestly, as a parent, it was a little delicious to watch too. Bring along grandparents, uncles, and aunties – this is a landmark experience for little ones that you’ll actually enjoy watching.

What is Peppa pig’s Big Family Show about?
Unlike Peppa Pig’s Fun Day Out (which feels like a mix of random episodes thrown together), this show has a solid storyline – the arrival of baby Evie. It kicks off with the Pig family in full chaos mode. We see Mummy Pig with her swollen belly, Daddy Pig nervously pacing, and the whole family busy decorating their house in anticipation. It’s the kind of detail toddlers adore – the small, everyday moments of family life turned into a magical stage show.
My toddler was absolutely enthralled how the Pig family cared for baby Evie. It’s the perfect show for little ones learning about empathy and family life. And if you’re prepping a toddler for a new sibling, this might just be the most charming way to ease the transition and soften any potential new sibling drama.

Peppa Pig Big Family Show Highlights
Mummy Pig goes to hospital
One of the show’s standout, iconic moments is Mummy Pig heading off to the hospital. First up: the classic Peppa Pig car, the one we’ve all seen a million times on screens, suddenly brought to life in full 3D glory – pure visual joy for kids and parents alike. Then comes the unforgettable sight of baby Evie snug in a carrier. My toddler leaned over and whispered, “It’s like you and me, Mummy,” and I melted.
I couldn’t help but love Mummy Pig bossing motherhood like a pro, one mnute juggling her swollen belly, then her new addition, family, and the stage in one confident swoop. It’s a moment that’s charming, relatable, and genuinely memorable – the kind of image that stays with you long after the curtain falls.
Impressive Puppets
If you’re a parent who worries that visible puppeteers might ruin the magic, relax – you really don’t notice. Yes, the smaller puppets like Peppa and George are manned, but with so much happening on stage, it blends seamlessly into the action.
The adult characters, on the other hand, are a whole other level of wow. Daddy Pig and Mr Bull in particular are enormous, taking up a huge chunk of the stage, and their performers manage them with such skill that it’s genuinely hard to figure out how they do it. They move, gesture, and interact like these giant characters are alive, and it’s impressively immersive.
From a parent’s perspective, it’s reassuring to see that the puppetry adds to the spectacle rather than distracting from it – the kids are completely absorbed, and you’ll find yourself quietly marveling at the craftsmanship too.

Surprise Appearances
I may be mistaken, but it felt like there were far more characters on stage than in last year’s show. Peppa’s friends, Danny Dog and Rebecca Rabbit, pop in towards the end, much to the delight of the toddlers in the audience. And yes, there’s even a surprise visit from Father Christmas – though in a twist that only Peppa Pig could pull off, he’s arguably upstaged by the arrival of baby Evie.
Fun Effects
This show doesn’t just rely on puppets and storytelling – it’s full of delightful surprises and sensory chaos that keep kids (and secretly parents) on their toes. There are sneaky water guns, a flurry of fake snow over the stalls, and bubbles floating through the air.
One particularly magical moment involves ultra-violet paint brushes and pots dancing across the stage curtains, creating a vibrant glow that mesmerises toddlers and adults alike. It’s like the stage itself comes alive with color and movement, adding a whole new layer of sensory fun to the show.
Audience Particpation
This isn’t just a “sit back and relax” type of show. Nope, you’ll find yourself standing, dancing, and singing along in the aisles. And of course if you don’t know the words to Bing Bong Boo yet (who are we kidding?) you certainly will leave well versed.

What age is the show for?
This is undoubtedly a show for the very young, with 2-4 being the sweet spot. Having said that I did see slightly older siblings happily joining in with the merriment.
Our 3-year-old, who is “baby-obsessed,” loved seeing Evie and the Pig family caring for her. The combination of interactive puppets, fun surprises, and sensory experiences like snow and water guns kept her engaged from start to finish. The interval was also welcomed for a toilet dash.
