Prehistoric Planet: Discovering Dinosaurs

Young Artist’s Summer Show

For a dose of inspiration this July, consider a visit to the Young Artists’ Summer Show at the Royal Academy. This fantastic exhibition offers a unique opportunity to explore the creative minds of artists aged just 4 through to 18. Kids will love trying to identify the age of each budding artist as you wander through the diverse collection of works. You could make a day of it by bringing a picnic to enjoy in the beautiful surroundings of nearby St. James’s Park – a perfect way to combine art and a relaxed afternoon outdoors. More Info
Future of Food

Whilst the Space Hall is currently undergoing refurbishment, rest assured there’s still absolutely tons to explore and discover at the Science Museum. For instance, don’t miss the brand new and completely free Future of Food exhibition, opening on the 24th. This interactive and multi-sensory experience will get everyone thinking about what we eat, how it’s made, and where it’s all going. From ancient bread to the very first cell-grown steak, it’s a fascinating journey that explores how science is shaping a more sustainable future for our plates and the planet. Plus, there’s even a large multiplayer game to get stuck into, making it a surprisingly fun way to learn about such an important topic.

Family Farm Day in Covent Garden

For one day only Vauxhall City Farm takes residence in the heart of Covent Garden offering a Fun Family Farm Day where can enjoy petting our friendly goats, sheep, and alpacas, and even snuggle with rabbits and guinea pigs in the Cuddle Corner. Plus, get creative making musical instruments from vegetables, enjoy story time, or grab a farm-themed mocktail – with face painting and plenty of photo ops too.
More Than Human

Opening on the 11th, this fascinating exhibition challenges us to think beyond ourselves and consider how design can help our entire planet thrive. It’s packed with innovative ideas across art, science, and technology, showcasing incredible projects that push boundaries. This includes intriguing artworks, like those by Japanese artist Shimabuku, which are designed for other species – exploring what art might look like from an octopus’s perspective, for example. The Smeds and the Smoos

Why not treat the kids to a taste of West End Theatre this Summer? Based on the beloved book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, this Olivier Award-nominated show from Tall Stories (the brilliant team behind The Gruffalo stage show) is packed with music, laughs, and interplanetary fun. It tells the heartwarming tale of two star-crossed aliens from feuding families who fall in love and zoom off into space, leading their families on an unforgettable chase.
