With my eldest now fully immersed in school life there is hardly a weekend that goes by without an invitation to a Birthday Party. I’d avoided it for six years but last January it befell me to host our first Kids Birthday Party. And so the research began. A year later and there are even more great venue options on offer in West London. Here is my updated list of the best Kids Party Venues in West London (2024).
Whilst the idea of hiring a church hall and renting an entertainer may appeal to some there is now increasing demand for venues that will take the brunt of the leg work leaving you to merely watch on, coffee in hand. This sang to me! Also with multiple venues offering exciting activities and party ideas; crazy golf, gymnastics, trampolining …there really is no need to fret over leading the hokey kokey or spend hours preparing party games. Put that limbo stick firmly down and take your pick of the best kids birthday party venues by area in 2023.

Kensington and Chelsea: Best Kids Party Venues
Chelsea FC
If your child is a budding footballer/fan of the blues it really doesn’t get much better than this. The Party package at Stamford bridge, home of Chelsea football Club is pretty unforgettable. Blow your child’s mind with a behind the scenes stadium tour voyeuring into the dressing rooms, Press rooms and players tunnel. Let them play out their future dream job with photo opportunities lifting trophies, sat in the managers chair and by the shirts of their favourite players.
The second half of the package takes place in the museum where the staff lay on organised footy themed games – penalty shoot out, quizzes, reaction skills as well as handling of the clubs silverware and the players worn match kits.
The Birthday child will even get to see a prerecorded Happy Birthday message form the club captain Cesar Azpilicueta.
To top it off the Party bags are pretty fabulous and comprise a printed photo of each child with the UEFA champions league trophy, souvenir lanyard and certificate in a Chelsea FC Gym bag. The Birthday child also receives a Chelsea football shirt.
These parties are aimed at Children aged 7-11yrs old and are priced at £25 per child.Minimum 10 children and Maximum of 20. 1 free adult per 5 children, extra adults £25 each. No food or drink provided but parents welcome to supply a cake (no candles) and drinks and there is also an onsite restaurant (Frankies) which can be booked separately. Parties available at 10am, 12 and 3pm on weekends only.
The National Army Museum
Tanks, soldiers and uniforms. The likelihood is the National Army Museum, conveniently located between the King’s Rd and the river, already ranks high in your child’s estimation. Delight them with a two hour party inclusive of food, party bags, private room hire and 1hr exclusive use of ‘Playbase’, the museums immersive soft play area. A party package for 20 starts at £750 and is suitable for ages 0-8.
Floaty McFloat Face
Duration: 2.5hrs
Who doesn’t love being on a boat? Or going on a boat trip for that matter? Children especially love being on a pirate ship adventure, moored in various locations on the Regents canal and the Paddington Arm (do check where before booking!) Floaty Mc FloatFace is a one-of-a-kind private hire venue for small parties for adults. For children you can choose from a variety of themed parties -Mermaids, Pirates, Princess, Origami or Sewing and have resident host Miles and his team captivate your party guests. Children’s Birthday parties last 2.5hrs and are priced at £25 per child. Recommended for ages 5-10yrs. Soft drink and snacks provided. Lunch can be provided subject to prior arrangement. Albert’s at Beaufort House
From Teenage discos to Princess Tea parties, this elegant venue on the King’s Rd offers a truly memorable birthday. With 3 distinctly different private rooms to hire, their in-house specialists have the savoir faire to bring your Birthday dreams to life. Whether you would like a DJ, a visit from a Princess or an acrobatic display from a Superhero, these Party planners have it covered. They also do a pretty impressive spread of sandwiches, sweets, canapes or cupcakes. Prices on request.
Peggy Porschen
The lavishly adorned doorstep of Peggy Porschen on the King’s Rd may be one of the most photographed locations in all of London. But did you know the iconic cake shop also houses its own indoor version of an English Rose Garden aptly named the Chelsea Rose Room? With dreamy backdrops of soft pastels, antique mirrors and a dramatic ceiling sky light mural to frame those irresistible cakes and bakes, this venue is the epitome of bijou chic. A deliciously decadent option for a child with sophisticated taste and a penchant for a twin set and pearls. Pricey? Yes. Instagram worthy? Very. Venue Hire is based on a minimum spend of £800 (weekdays) £1200 (weekends).
Hammersmith and Fulham: Best Kids Party Venues
Gambado
Located on the Fulham side of Chelsea Harbour, Gambado houses arguably the largest and most impressive soft play in West London. Further equipped with an indoor carousel, bumper cars, arcade games, slide and ball pit, this venue has it all if you are looking for a high energy/ low stress Birthday party. Weekend Parties last 2hrs and start at £21 per child, including food, access to all facilities, party bags, balloons and a dedicated party host.
Clip N Climb
Another high-energy option in SW6 is Clip ‘n Climb Chelsea. Transport your child and their friends into this towering neon oasis of climbables and allow them to unleash their inner daredevil in the capable hands of the resident experts. Tickets are priced at £22.50 per climber with the option to hire a refurbished London double-decker Party Bus for 45-minutes afterwards at an additional cost of £198.
Exclusive venue hire starts at £849 for up to 35 guests with the additional Party Bus hire if required – a good option for joint parties.
All Star Lanes, Westfield
Westfield shopping Centre may have a few options to consider if your ideal venue is north of the borough. Lush and The little Gym are all housed here but if you are looking for something altogether different check out All star Lanes.
An all American Dining and bowling experience, this popular children’s party venue offers exceptional value for money. Priced at £15/£17.50 (weekday/weekend) per child, guests can enjoy a Kid’s main meal, drink and dessert in addition to a game of bowling. Choose from burgers and fries, pizza , shakes and brownies and much more on this classic stand out menu. With extra light bowling balls, ramps , bumps and buffers, All star Lanes are well equipped to get your little ones scoring the perfect strike. Recommended for ages 4 +.

Lush Birthday Parties
Did you know that Lush cosmetics host parties? Children and adults go wild for this cute and colourful cosmetics chain that produce sensational smellys and magical make ups led by uncompromising sustainability and cruelty free ethics.
Children’s parties at Lush take place in-store and are led by a dedicated party host. Lush offer two customisable party packages. You will be able to choose between a ‘fun& games’ party or a ‘treat yourself’ party. Kids will enjoy a mix of activities such as making their own bath bombs, face masks testing and guess the flavour games as part of a fun filled 1.5 hrs that kids will absolutely devour. Feel free to drop into your local store for a lush party consultation.
Priced at £25 per child the price includes an exclusive party product gift to takeaway. The guest of honour will be thoroughly spoilt with an extra special gift and exclusive products of their choice.
Minimum and Maximum numbers will be dependent on the size of your local store. At White City lush parties requires a minimum of 6 and maximum of 30 (weekdays) increasing to a minimum of 8 on the weekend. If you would prefer to host your lush birthday party outside of store opening hours and with greater numbers the venue does offer this on Sunday morning 10.30am – 12 (minimum10, maximum 50)
A deposit of £5 per guest is required at the time of booking. Whatever your special occasion ( they do baby showers and Hen dos too!) lush private parties are fantastic opportunities for a playful get together.
Wandsworth -Best Kids Party Venues
Clip N Climb Wandsworth
Buckle Up Wandsworth!
Recently opened Clip ‘n Climb is the ultimate party venue for young adrenaline fiends. This sparkling new and colourful venue offers challenges galore. Race your way to the top of the many climbing walls, test your balance on the ‘Stairway to Heaven’ or dare yourself to have a go on the vertical drop slide.
Parties here start at £23 pp (off peak) and £28 pp (peak). This includes a 55 min Climbing session and 30 minute induction followed by 45 mins in the dedicated party room. Here your guests will be served pizza, veg sticks, garlic bread and squash. The price also includes some perks for the birthday child – a drop slide and a slushie, although you can upgrade to include these for all if your budget allows.
Strike Bowling
With the recent closure of Flip Out, Wandsworth residents will be relieved to see a new ‘uber cool’ party destination has opened in the form of Strike Bowling. Located across from Southside in the Ram Quarter development, this small bowling venue is proving a real hit with discerning toddlers and teenagers alike.
Parties here are priced at £24.95 per child. This price includes one hour of bowling followed by an hour in the restaurant area where the birthday guests will be served a one course meal (think gourmet burger and fries etc). Parties are available for 8-24 guests and suggested for ages 5-12 years.
We recently attended a party here and I can vouch for the Party food – it was fabulous and abundant.Vegan, vegetarian and GF options available. Parties also tend to take place upstairs with sole use of the entire level, giving a sense of privacy and allaying any fears of losing a child. There is also a handy bar for parents to gather with a drink whilst watching the children bowl.
Gymfinity
If you are party planning for a budding gymnast or ninja, this next venue equipped with giant air tracks, sprung floors, bars, beams and obstacle courses, may be the ticket. Located opposite Southside in central Wandsworth, Gymfinity offers a competitively priced (£300) weekend party package for up to 15 children. No food provided however there is access to an eating area for you to provide your own.
Parthian
Located in the Southside Mall, Parthian is a climbing centre like no other. Home to the ‘Titan’ a competition bouldering wall that will feature in the 2024 Paris Olympics, this is a facility for pros and novices alike. Birthday sessions can be booked for up to 8 children for 1.5 hrs and includes a dedicated instructor.
Gootopia
Whilst the idea of glitter and slime may normally send a shiver down your spine, at Gootopia, mess- making isn’t just allowed – it’s celebrated! Gootopia is a slime lovers paradise. A party here starts with a fun slime show led by a dedicated slime party leader. Kids will love delving into ‘Slime Science’ and learning about the world’s weirdest slime.
Choose between an original slime party (using scented slime with flavours like bubblegum) or spectacular glow in the dark slime. Each child will be able to create their own individual slime from scratch before trying their hand at some epic team work to make a giant slime.
A weekend party package is priced at £299 for 15 kids (£15 per extra child). The venues cater for a maximum of 32 children. Price is inclusive of two takeaway tubs of slime per child.
For smaller parties you could also just book places on a general workshop which follow the same format as a party workshop. The last 15 minutes of the 1.5 hr party is reserved for you to have a cake cutting/ sing happy birthday although cake will have to be given in party bags to be eaten off site.
At Wandsworth a party room is available to hire at an extra cost of £69 per hr. Here you could potentially bring your own food/ order takeout.
Balham – Best Kids Party Venues
Bertie and Boo
Whilst slightly pushing the boundary of West London, it would unforgivable not to mention ‘Bertie and Boo’ Pirate Adventure Island in Balham.
Run by a family of 3rd generation magicians, this enchanting adventure soft play is dedicated to providing quality children’s entertainment and exceptional parties. With exclusive hire of the venue, comprising soft play and disco party room, parents are invited to relax whilst dedicated entertainers interact with the children, facilitating play with storytelling, magic and puppetry.
Following 40 mins of play, games and dancing competitions the children are invited to eat ( food provided) before enjoying a magic show. Prices start at £349 +VAT. An upgrade to Laser play is also available for budding Superheroes (4-6yrs).
Putney and Barnes: Best Kids Party Venues
London Wetlands Centre
Pond dipping, creepy crawly catching and bird watching. Grab your binoculars and wellies and let the team at WWT enthral your party in this natural oasis in West London. Prices start at £265 for a party of 10 children and includes invites, entry, guided activities, adventure playground, room hire and Party bags. Additional children priced at £16 each.
Parties last 2 1/2 hours with the final hour taking place in a dedicated party eating area where a party buffet is available for £4.95 per child. Alternatively there is the option to bring your own food. Activities are aimed at ages 5 – 12 yrs.
Jungle Rumble
If you are looking for the perfect venue for a slightly older child (7yrs+), look no further than Jungle Rumble. A relative newcomer to the list of London Party venues, Jungle Rumble offer indoor crazy golf courses with a distinct party vibe that will score serious brownie points with your birthday child.
Complete with three neon clad courses to choose from – Royal Tahiti, Surfers and Ocean, complete your child’s special day with some post putting Pizza all provided within the birthday package. Prices start at £15 per child (one course) and £19 (two courses) including food and two hours party table reservation. Parties cater to a maximum of 18 children
Putt in the Park
If you are looking for an outdoorsy activity, Putt in the park’s mini golf experience is worth considering. Set within Wandsworth Park on the banks of the river, this child friendly course is aimed at all ages. Guest can enjoy a round of golf with a set tee time followed by a party lunch of pizzas, toasties and organic fruit juice.
Parties are priced at £21 per child with a minimum of 10 guests (max 70). Parents can enjoy a fully licensed bar onsite . Hurrah!

Battersea – Best Kids Party Venues
The Fairy House
Nestled away behind a pastel pink doorway, a stepping stone from Northcote Rd, The Fairy House offers intimate and magical birthday experiences. With incredible attention to detail, this immersive experience is tailored to the season making for wonderful photos and priceless memories. Little fairies in training will take away wings, wands and a gift bag plus a baked treat. A Birthday Party for up to six guests is priced at £269 at this much loved local treasure. Ages 2+
Battersea Park Zoo
Nestled between the river and the lake in the northeast corner of Battersea Park is the family favourite children’s Zoo. The Zoo is home to meerkats, wallabies and cheeky monkeys in addition to its farm and mini beast house. The friendly staff at this West London gem have years of experience hosting children’s parties.
A party here offers a sleuthing adventure searching for clues and learning fun facts about the animals with a keeper whilst touring the zoo. Little guests will get to uncover their inner detective and even have to chance to handle some of the Zoo’s residents.This is then followed by a birthday lunch in the party cabin, animal themed crafts and the chance for the birthday boy or girl to paint a brick on the Zoo’s ‘hall of fame’.

Top Tip: Party guests are permitted to stay on and enjoy the zoo after the party! This venue is packed with excellent play facilities to while away the afternoon – including a true to life helicopter, sandpit and fire engine. A great option for a full memorable day of fun.
Bushcraft Parties
Do you crave some good old fashioned outdoors muddy fun for your child’s Birthday? If so Bushcraft parties, a party service able to operate from any park woods or garden in West London, could be your answer. Think den building, fire making, marshmallow toasting and bow and arrow making – traditional hands on fun facilitated by fully insured bush experts.
Parties start at £250 for smaller parties with one instructor comprising a jam packed 2 hrs of forest fun. All equipment and provisions are taken care of except for food. A simple sustainable option that is ideal for nature lovers.
My Gym
Learning through physical play is at the heart of the ‘My Gym’ ethos and parties here are jammed with non stop games, puppets, songs and age appropriate relays all preplanned with the birthday boy/girl in mind.
Parties here start at £385 for 15 children (max25). This price includes 1.5 hours of quality hosting by the party team with all activities customised to your child and their guests. Food is available at an extra cost of £6 per child however there is an option to self cater should you wish. There is an additional charge for hire of the party room. Suitable for ages 1-10 yrs.
Go Ape

The Polka Theatre
The Polka is a much loved Children’s Theatre in the heart of Wimbledon. Parties here are customisable and there is an option for every budget. You can choose to either reserve tables in the Polka cafe or hire the party room for 2hrs (£175). Lunch boxes (sandwich, crisps, drink, fruit and cookie) can be bought for £9.80 per child. Theatre tickets (from £10) and a one hour session with a drama practitioner (from £150) are popular add ons and the perfect treat for aspiring young thespians and theatre goers.

Bounceagogo
Wandsworth’s go to Party Service, Bounceagogo operates a ‘pimp my school’ service from three South West London Primary schools in the Wimbledon area . Transforming the schools with disco lights, special effects, Bouncy castle, rollercoasters, ride on giant beach balls and soft play, Bounceagogo offers the ultimate party experience. Bouceagogo offer different packages for different age groups (1-11yrs) including disco and nerf gun play, as well as their signature Bounceagogo (1-3yrs) inflatables parties.
